Jay, Meng & I went to a John Mayer concert right here in Columbia at the Merriweather Post Pavilion. It was great! We got seats inside the pavilion which was a good call because it rained like crazy throughout the whole concert! People were slipping and sliding in the mud all over the place when it was time to go home.

LeAnne asked my cousin, Tricia & I to make their flowers. Of course we said yes not knowing what we were getting ourselves into...It was quite the task but we had fun and we were happy with the outcome. Here's a photo from the flower market and experimenting with what we were gonna make.
the bouquets at Tricia's house...
The wedding itself took place at The Hacienda in Santa Ana, CA.

The day that Jay was heading back home from California, his flight didn't leave until late so we decided to go to the beach to kill some time. We stopped on Balboa Island and then headed to Corona Del Mar. A day with my cousin isn't a day without mishaps...first, the waves were pretty strong and gave me a nosebleed, and then this huge bumble bee kept on chasing Tricia around the beach! The kids started to huddle around me while their mom was running in circles for dear life from this flying monster! ok, so that may be a bit dramatic, but it sure was pretty darn hilarious! The kids kept telling uncle jay to shoot the bee with their water gun, so he did and it finally went away...

I can't believe my little sister Meng graduated from Loma Linda University with a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy...wahoo!! it was pretty hot that day and quite a few people showed up to watch her march. afterwards we had a get-together at Brendan & Tricia's house where we had some yummy Hawaiian food from the Loft restaurant. it was a good time spent with friends and family...we're so proud of your accomplishments, meng!!
